In a totally renovated context on Regent Street, in London, the Arcade project represents an innovative renovation which, in addition to preserving the distinctive characteristics of the original building, maintaining its historical soul, renews it by giving it new life and changing some central aspects. The result is a contemporary commercial destination fully integrated into the surrounding context.

the project
Winner of the Retail category for the New London Awards 2019, the Arcade project in Regent Street has breathed new life into a Grade II listed building. Part of the transformation was the design of a stunning tiled terrazzo floor, replacing the previous Regent Street column. Agglotech and InOpera Group, exclusive distributor of Agglotech terrazzo in England, supported the architect Barr Gazetas in the creation of the new terrazzo flooring of the new entrance. As usual, Agglotech, in addition to supplying the terrazzo floor, followed the project step by step, offering its technical support in all phases of the project, also for the careful choice of color, respecting the required technical requirements and maintaining the the aesthetics and design suggested by the architect.
The Venetian terrazzo flooring of the Arcade proves to be a winning choice as it redefines its aesthetics and fully satisfies the aim of modernizing this part of Regent Street. The Agglotech micro terrazzo floor, laid with a particular non-slip sanding, also meets the rigid standards required by English regulations.
Agglotech’s marble-cement material is particularly appreciated by the world of architecture because it combines flexibility of use and variety of colors together with resistance and reliability.
