The Agglotech Venetian terrace in the SB149 Fumo color, from the “Microterrazzo” line, was chosen by the designers to create a particularly innovative architectural project in Osnabrück, Germany: it was in fact laid for part of the flooring and the covering of the stairs of the new auditorium of the University of Osnabrück.

The University of Osnabrück commissioned the construction of the new auditorium to the architectural firms CROSS Architecture and Benthem Crouwel GmbH. The building has attracted a lot of attention due to its shape which partly appears raised from the ground: the volume “cut” from a corner of the structure has created a large entrance area. The choice of colors also proved to be remarkably original: on the outside as well as on the inside, a fresh and bright green stands out which contrasts pleasantly with the sober colors of the materials and the surrounding environment.
For this creation Agglotech has supplied its cement marble agglomerate in the SB149 Fumo color for the covering of part of the floors and stairs: a particularly suitable choice for guaranteeing chromatic homogeneity thanks to the micro flakes of marble blended into a gray cement base. Furthermore, the technical characteristics of the Venetian floor ensured strong resistance to wear and tear, which was necessary in this large-scale project subject to high traffic.
