Marienturm – Francoforte
Francoforte, Germania
In the middle of the central business district of Frankfurt am Main, in the Marieninsel, a new stimulating working environment with a refined interaction between architecture and interior design, the Marienturm, has been created. For this project, the Thomas Müller Ivan Reimann Architekten architecture studio and the interior designer Patricia Urquiola chose Agglotech’s cement-marble material for the internal flooring and some walls.

the project
In the beating heart of Frankfurt’s Central Business District, right in front of the Deutsche Banks, the Marienturm becomes an important point of reference in the German skyline, opening up new perspectives for work in a cosmopolitan and future-oriented place. In addition to offices and conference rooms, the tower houses a restaurant and a café, a nursery, fitness areas and a panoramic terrace. Numerous indoor spaces of the structure have been enhanced by the Venetian terrace by Agglotech in the SB130 Aggloceppo colour, enhancing the naturalness of the surrounding materials. Wood, stone, metal and marble define the architecture of the building characterized by the combination of work and nature, a fundamental concept of this creation. The varied marble chips in a light and delicate gray background help to underline the dynamism of the rooms, in perfect harmony with the original and imposing wooden wall made up of blocks that protrude from the vertical alignment.
