Toranomon Business Tower

Aesthetics and functionality are the concepts identified for the indoor spaces of the Toranomon Business Tower, a 36-storey, 185m high skyscraper located in Tokyo that houses large offices, shops and commercial facilities inside. Agglotech marble grit and cement flooring was therefore chosen by the designers for this important project in a completely customised version. Title: Materials

the project
Installed to cover part of the flooring, walls and internal columns, the Venetian terrace by Agglotech defined a space with a contemporary but at the same time functional design. The high technical performance of the marble-cement material guarantees considerable resistance to wear caused by frequent stress, as well as easy maintenance and cleaning. Not only that, the play of light and shadow created by the white marble chips blended into a gray cement base give this structure personality and dynamism, dressing the atmosphere with originality and high aesthetic appeal. Finally, the “polished” finish applied to the floor produced a smooth and opaque surface, while ensuring good slip resistance. Particularly suitable for public environments, it is classified on the R9 or R10 scale of the anti-slip regulations, proving to be a resistant, practical and safe solution.
