A one-of-a-kind project.
Agglotech is the sole worldwide supplier of terrazzo for all Valentino and Red Valentino stores. The Venetian-style Terrazzo for this project was created and customised according to the specifications of the Valentino fashion house, in collaboration with the internationally renowned architect David Chipperfield.
The involvement of Agglotech by the great fashion house dates back to 2010 with the need to study and produce in large volumes a cement marble material that would realise the colours already identified by the client for the new creative concept of the new Valentino shops and the new Red Valentino Stores. The colour initially indicated, custom and handcrafted, had never been produced on an industrial level. Hence the first step of the project: to create a colour that would meet the client’s specifications and at the same time guarantee reliability and mass production for a large volume of terrazzo slabs.
A technical team dedicated to Valentino supported designers, planners and architects step by step during all phases of the realisation of the various shops. A huge amount of work that introduced the Venetian-style Agglotech terrazzo to the world of fashion, now a large pool for the company.
Terrazzo has had various applications: from interior cladding, to Venetian-style terrazzo floors, to various elements, both decorative and structural, made directly from solid terrazzo block work.
