Venetian terrazzo has always been one of the most suitable and used materials for covering stairs and floors. A resistant, ductile material available in many colours.
For this residential project in Neugablonz in Germany, Venetian terrazzo stairs and floors were created in two different colours: SB 250 Lido and SB 171 Nero Venato. The first is a very bright white belonging to the “Seminato Veneziano” line, a line characterized by large marble chips appropriately distributed in a homogeneous way. The second, however, is an intense black belonging to the “Classic” line, a line much appreciated by designers and architects, with medium-sized granules, even different in shades, for a truly elegant and refined terrace.
In the SB250 Lido colour, in addition to the steps of the stairs, the floor and part of the walls of the common area were also covered. The white color in the glossy finish gives a lot of brightness to the environment and thanks to the medium and large sized marble flakes it makes particular plays of light possible. The color SB171 Venato, however, was used for all the external skirting boards and for the covering of the first and last steps of the stairs, to represent a sort of signal for the start of the staircase.
