Centro Direzionale Unilever – Amburgo

Overlooking the cruise ship terminal, the Elbe River and the Stradkai promenade, the building, which was also the headquarters of Unilever, opens up to the city of Hamburg and its inhabitants. For the headquarters of the large global manufacturer of consumer goods, Agglotech supplied its marble-cement material for the covering of the floors and stairs.

the project
For the internal flooring and cladding of the stairs of the new business center, a resistant, unalterable material that was easy to clean and maintain was needed. The technical characteristics of Agglotech’s Venetian flooring have fully met all the needs required by the designers, proving to be a material suitable for covering large spaces and frequent stress. Furthermore, the expressiveness and brightness of the agglomerate of marble and cement in the SB130 Aggloceppo color gave a strong character to the environment, enhancing the visitor’s sense of welcome. For this project, the mixing and processing of only natural elements such as marble chips and Portland cement created a Venetian terrace characterized by an intense gray enriched by the different colors of the flakes present within it. Worked with a “polished” finish, the marble-cement material guarantees the structure a non-slip surface, giving it dynamism and shine at the same time.
